Asa Waldstein is founder and principal of the regulatory consulting company Supplement Advisory Group that specializes in marketing risk analysis and practical marketing solutions in the web, social media, and product labels. Asa is a Certified Clinical Herbalist (CCH) with 20 years of experience implementing compliant marketing strategies and cGMP manufacturing processes in the dietary supplement and hemp industries.
Asa has formulated, manufactured, and marketed hundreds of products in a compliant manner and has helped oversee three FDA CFR 111 inspections without any 483s. Asa is Chair of AHPA's (American Herbal Products Association) Cannabis Committee. His Regulatory Education Series platform hosts free events for the community on FDA/FTC enforcement trend analysis, social media marketing principles, and manufacturing efficiency principles.

Vanessa Snyder has a strong passion for health and overall well-being stemming from her studies in nutrition. This led her into the hemp industry, where today she serves as the Business Development Director for Hemp and Botanicals within Eurofins, an industry-leading nutrient, contaminant and microbiology laboratory with 80+ years of experience. In her role, she assists the hemp industry in meeting needs for reliable testing and development of sound quality programs, while continuing to drive support for regulation and standardization within the industry. With over 10 years of experience in food, beverage, feed and dietary supplement industries, Vanessa applies her learned knowledge to aid those working with hemp in maintaining safe, high-quality products to further opportunities throughout the industry.
Vanessa is proud to serve on the Board of Directors for the Hemp Feed Coalition and is an active member of the US Hemp Roundtable, Council for Responsible Nutrition, the American Herbal Products Association, AOAC International and the United Natural Products Alliance. Vanessa holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in Dietetics and has served as Treasurer for the Wisconsin Institute of Food Technologists and as Secretary for the Wisconsin Lab Association.

There are few individuals who have been more influential in the development of the U.S. hemp industry that the U.S. Hemp Roundtable’s General Counsel, Jonathan Miller. Upon helping found the Roundtable (and its sister organization, the U.S. Hemp Authority), Jonathan has served as the industry’s leading advocate for hemp and CBD legislation on the ground in Congress and in dozens of state legislatures. A recovering politician (the Democrat was elected twice as Kentucky’s State Treasurer), Jonathan has worked across the aisle with leading hemp champions such as U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on critical legislation, including the 2014 and 2018 Farm Bills. Now he spends his time working with Congress, the White House, the USDA, FDA and DEA to promote policies that advance the industry. Jonathan serves as Member in Charge of Frost Brown Todd’s Washington, D.C. office, and leads the national law firm’s broad and diverse hemp practice. Jonathan supports pro-Israel organizations and serves as President of the Robert S. Miller Family Foundation for Justice and Equity. He is a poker aficionado who made the final table in a 2012 World Series of Poker tournament.
Karla Rodriguez holds a BS in Chemistry from the University of San Francisco where she joined Dr. Jeff Curtis’ Inorganic Physical Chemistry Research lab studying the thermodynamics of electron transfer reactions in ruthenium complexes in the presence of halide salts. She joined Enthalpy Analytical in 2014, as a GCMS analyst in the volatile organics group then managed the inorganic group for 5 years, specializing in heavy metals analysis by ICP-OES, ICP-MS, and cold-vapor atomic adsorption. Over the past few years, her focus has shifted towards laboratory management, team development, and business development. Karla is currently the Lab Director for Enthalpy’s Cannabis Smoke and Vapor (CSV) testing lab in Berkeley, CA, developing analytical methods to evaluate consumer safety of inhalable cannabis products.
Dr Parveen Bhatarah, PhD, FRSC, completed her PhD in organic chemistry from Imperial College London and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. She has over 20 years experience within the international pharmaceutical industry & regulatory environment: bulk drug substance and product development; clinical trials; commercial launches; technology transfers; and manufacturing for ANDA and MA submissions. Dr Bhatarah has 12 years’ experience in the Medicinal Cannabis industry, in which she has held various directorship roles covering everything from cultivation to FDA approval of finished medicinal products.
